TELL YOUR NEIGHBORS YOUR HERE

Your neighborhood is filled with wire name jewelry buyers…even if they don’t know if yet. During my Re/max real estate years in Houston, each agent had a “farm area” where we deposited flyers in mailboxes once a month. The flyers had all sorts of information about real estate sales. Some people groaned andsaid it was TOO MUCH and too often. But who do you think they called when it was time to sell their house? That’s right! It was Re/max to the rescue. We had put our name in front of people so often that when they thought “real estate,” they automatically thought “Re/max.”

You can do the same thing! Become the jewelry expert in your neighborhood. Circulate flyers that have your sales information, but include tips on jewelry care and cleaning, gift-giving ideas, or “Buyer Beware” warnings.

Successful Home Jewelry Shows

It is also a very good idea to sell jewelry from your display rather than taking orders. Guests will buy more at the height of their excitement. When doing a home show, display several photos of satisfied customers wearing jewelry they have purchased from you. Invite guests to view these photos for ideas and to see the versatility of your jewelry. Have a second person working with you to photograph guests who purchased jewelry for themselves. Add these to your satisfied customer gallery to be displayed at your next home showing.

But I learned…

IF YOU MAKE IT THEY WILL BUY

People all over this great land are genuinely interested and excited about jewelry of almost any kind. And when they see it, they want it. Learn to create under pressure: make jewelry in front of people while they wait and talk to them during the process. Do that a few times and you’ll have earned your “Masters Degree” in Street Jewelry Selling.
