TIP BY WALLACE FRYE - Preston, I sell at flea markets a lot and I have found securing trays to a board or table keeps hole trays from disapearing. I also run small dowel rods through ring trays from top to bottom under the ring slotsto go through the rings tl protect investments. I also use some cases but if you have stuff in the open people can touch it items sell better. but you have to be security minded. Nothing is worse then selling a 90 dollar ring only to find someone stole two.

TIP BY NADINE FIDELMAN - In answer to the question from Debbie about responding to a customer who askes for a discount, I agree with you about the value of your materials and the value of hand-crafted one-of-a-kind jewelry. I say yes, I give a discount for purchases of $200.00 or more (you can set your own threshhold). I sometimes also mention that my modest markup only covers my materials and my labor, while jewelry stores (of manufactured jewelry) mark the jewelry up 4-20 times the price they pay for it! So actually, the customer is getting a much better value when purchasing something from you!
