Preston’s Tip of the Day for Tuesday 14 February – WireJewelryBootcamp.com

Today's Tip comes from Pamela Casey

SHOW TIP by PAMELA CASEY = For "traveling" kit I use a big rolling tackle box (found at home depot) with a "pendaflex" file sorter in the open bottom for coils of wire (folders labeled with type and gauge of wire), rolls of wire in tool tray of bottom section, tools and boxes of cabs etc in top section. In my studio I have those wall sorters with labeled folders for wire coils. Sure helps find what I need when I need it.

Today's Tip comes from Rosy

DISPLAY TIP BY ROSY HENDY -- Just thought i would pass this useful tip on. I use wooden mug trees to hang bracelets and necklaces etc on, as i make them.easy to count easy to see and display, you can pick them up for next to nothing at second hand shops, paint or spray with colour of choice.Even drape cloth over the tree to display a certain piece of jewelry, great for photographing.I even have one tree with all my scissors hanging as well.

Preston’s Tip of the Day for Sunday 12 February – WireJewelryBootcamp.com

Today's Tip comes from Debbie

EXTRA SALES TIP by Debbie Manning - Every craft show I do, someone is always asking where I get my supplies. Instead of telling them who my suppliers are, I make up jewelry kits with everything they need to complete a piece of jewelry. I include a picture of the finished project so they know what it will look like when it is completed. Now when someone asks me for my sources, I tell them I sell the kits if they are interested in making their own and I don't have to reveal all my secrets!

Preston’s Tip of the Day for Saturday 11 February – WireJewelryBootcamp.com

Today's Tip comes from Pamela Casey

SALES TIP BY Pamela Casey - As an addition to the wonderful sales tip about "matching" or coordinating with something the person is wearing you can do this: IF the potential customer is waffling and hands the piece back you can "offer" it by holding it out a bit then "remove" it by pulling it back just a little. This can be done very subtly, offer, pull back, while you chat. I've closed some very iffy sales that way.

Preston’s Tip of the Day for Friday 10 February – WireJewelryBootcamp.com

Today's Tip comes from Richard

I am just starting out in wire wrapping. As of now only working with sea glass. So far only used sterling silver, but I am retired and it is getting expensive as I usually give my work to others and not selling. Wondering if the silver coated wire is just as good and will it tarnish?
